A Place in the Trees

“A Place in the Trees”, (1994-96). This series is an extension of the “Twilight Series” influences. As the title suggests, a location has been stated, but the “sense of place” in these photographs has been transformed by a “time of light” rendering a world of mythic animation. One interest in this group of photographs was to redefine my personal esthetics within the landscape genera.

The prints from, “A Place in the Trees”, have been toned through the labor-intensive process of split toning in sepia and selenium. This accounts for the separation in color between pictorial spaces in the prints
